Social emotional learning for youth
The Social Emotional Learning (SEL) for Youths project is an initiative currently running, implemented as a partnership with Reach All, Mwandi Strikers, and Baobuyu School.
This project consists of weekly two-hour workshops held every Saturday, providing a safe space for youths to learn about and discuss topics such as drugs, addiction, and emotional well-being.
The program is based on the five core competencies of CASEL (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making). Its main objective is to support vulnerable youths, particularly those facing challenges within their families or lacking direction for the future, helping them gain hope, build resilience, and develop the skills needed to navigate life positively.

youth hub
The Youth Enterprise Hub operates at the Centre alongside children’s educational programs, providing young people aged 18–30 with employment, skills development, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The hub equips youth with practical business skills through peanut butter production, tailoring, and a chicken layer enterprise, enabling them to gain hands-on experience while earning an income.
The hub creates income-generating opportunities for vulnerable youth while also generating revenue for the NGO to support its education, life skills, nutrition, and creative development programs.
Programa de Apadrinamiento
In addition to the children attending the Chikondi Center, the Hope4Action Foundation also runs a sponsorship program for other children in the community.
This initiative provides support with school fees, educational materials, and mentorship—helping children access education and opportunities they might otherwise miss.
By empowering families and supporting children outside the center, the sponsorship program aims to break cycles of poverty, foster personal development, and create pathways toward a brighter future.
